Celebrate Recovery (CR) is a Christ-Centered Recovery Program that meets every Thursday night 7-9 @ 6 Crawfords Corner Road Holmdel NJ. Doors open at 6:30.
We say “Christ-Centered” because Jesus is our one and only Higher power. We know that God brings real healing and transformation to our lives.
When we say “Recovery Program” we mean that CR is meant not only to help those who are chemically dependant, but for anybody who struggles with hurts, habits, and hangups.
A hurt, habit or hang-up is something in your life that hinders your walk with God and your relationship with others.
A hurt is an emotional reaction to another person’s behavior or to a disturbing situation. (Abuse, Abandonment, Divorce, Relationship Issues, Codependency, etc.)
A habit is a compulsive behavior or addiction to something, that is used to cope with difficulty. (Alcoholism, Drugs, Food, Gambling, Sex, Smoking, Shopping, etc.)
Hang-ups are negative mental attitudes that detract from our ability to function healthily. (Depression, Anxiety, Anger, Unforgiveness, etc.)
If we can be honest with ourselves, we see that we all deal with things like these. At CR we find that we are not as uniquely troubled as we thought we were, and we do not have to struggle alone.
Celebrate Recovery is for anyone who has the courage to honestly examine themselves and seek Godly wisdom about whatever is holding them back.
You may even find someone who shares a similar struggle to yours. Whatever your situation may be, we believe that our God can bring healing to whatever it is that you suffer from.
For the first hour we have worship, prayer, and either some teaching or a testimony-which is an inspirational story of someone’s recovery.
During the second hour we break into small groups for openly sharing our struggles.
At this time we have two sharing groups: one for adult (18+) men with various issues, and one for adult women with various issues.
CR is a safe nonjudgmental space where we respect confidentiality.
You do not have to share or participate in any way that you do not want to.
But if you do share your struggles with us, we will respect your confidence.
Whether you are a veteran of meetings like this and have plenty to share, or a newcomer who just wants to watch and listen, you are welcome to participate at whatever speed you are ready for.
